Kelly’s essay, “We are (a Military) Family,” has been accepted into the Embedded on the Homefront anthology, to be published by Heritage House Press in Fall 2012. The book contains essays written by family members, spouses and friends of soldiers who experienced military life from the homefront perspective. Kelly writes about her family’s generational history in the military and what it was like to grow up in that environment. Stay tuned for more information on sales and availability.

Issue 6 of Pie Magazine, which I have been lucky enough to be a part of, is now out in all Chapters Indigo stores, W Hotels and Page & Turners stores, with the amazing Arlene Dickinson on the front cover. I have four articles written in this issue, and also served in my role as the publication copy editor. Recently, I met with the Editor-In-Chief, Sandra Roberts on a trip back home to Ontario, and we’re looking forward to collaborating on all further issues of the bookazine, creating a beautiful, glossy and interesting publication full of thought provoking articles. Kelly has been hired as the Copy Editor of Pie Magazine, a magazine that showcases affordable luxury and is based out of Barrie, ON. The magazine is sold nationally through Chapters Indigo stores and is published three times annually. The next issue will release in less than a month!

Keystone Text has just been hired as one of the new writers for Yogaflavoredlife.com, a site dedicated to all things related to yoga, wellness and meditation. Check out the link to read my first few entries.

As of yesterday, Keystone Text has joined the freelancing website Elance, in which freelancers can go online and bid for jobs that are posted by contractors.

The fantastic editor for YorkU magazine, asked that I write the article “Back Talk”, which appears on the last page of every issue, and is published quarterly. In it, I write about life in the military and how my experiences have led me to pursue and value my writing and editing career. My article, “No Life Like It”, was published in the Summer 2011 issue.
